AVM approached Statuo for help with their online presence, and the main measurable goal was to increase enquiries coming through from the website.
The AV industry is a very competitive market, with lots of really large suppliers and competitors all racing for position 1 on the key search terms. PPC in this industry is astronomically high - and so we needed to identify some long tail, intent based search queries which would send valuable traffic to the AVM website.
We put together an initial 3 month plan which covered a variety of sitewide changes, both technical and on-page optimisation tasks were scheduled over the next 3 months to improve various issues which were identified. We then moved onto a proactive strategy.
We began the process initially by undertaking an in-depth SEO audit. The audit analyses every aspect of the website which could potentially affect rankings - we then create a list of tasks and recommendations from the audit which are then prioritised by their potential impact. We then spent the following 8 weeks implementing all of the recommendation tasks. These tasks included things such as site speed optimisation tasks, url redirects, archiving 404 pages etc, interlinking pages, xml sitemap updates, blog pagination etc.
Once we were happy that the website was technically sound from an SEO perspective - we then began to look into the conversion rate of the website - and found that there were issues around being able to implement certain design tweaks we were looking to make to improve conversion rate. The website was built in an old version of an outdated CMS, and so the decision was taken by AVM to start from scratch and design and build a new website.
The brief was to design and build an industry leading website, one which didn’t conform to the corporate look and feel of so many of AVM’s competitors.
