Talk to me todayPhysique Academy, founded in 2013 by CEO George Armstrong, has grown into one of the leading men’s online health and fitness coaching companies worldwide.
With a team of 28 dedicated coaches, an operations team, and a therapist team offering one-to-one mental health support, the Academy delivers more than just training plans. Its holistic approach combines physical training, nutrition, mindset, education, and accountability, helping thousands of men transform their lives. The brief was to deliver a complete website refresh with a sharp focus on conversion rate optimisation. The new site needed to improve user experience by making it easier for potential clients to book consultation calls, showcase the programme’s global impact, and position Physique Academy as the go-to name in men’s online coaching.
The design direction centred around simplicity, strength, and credibility. Competitor analysis showed that many fitness sites overload users with information or visuals, leading to a diluted message. Physique Academy wanted the opposite: a clean, bold design that puts results and calls-to-action first. The homepage was redesigned to act as a powerful entry point, with clear statistics on how many men have been through the programme, striking transformation imagery, and a stripped-back layout that highlights what matters most: booking a consultation. We introduced a timeline feature on the About page to tell the story of the brand’s growth since 2013, reinforcing authority and trust. The design also integrated community and accountability, two pillars of Physique Academy’s success - through dedicated sections on team support, client success management, and mental health services. The copy and visuals reflect the Academy’s tone of voice: direct, no-nonsense, and motivating.
Functionality was as important as design. We focused on creating a seamless user journey that reduces friction and increases the likelihood of conversion. This meant fewer clicks to book a call, faster load times, and clear signposting to key areas like “What’s Included,” “Results,” and “Meet the Team.” The site was built with scalability in mind, ensuring Physique Academy can continue to grow and update its digital presence as its community expands. On the technical side, we implemented SEO-friendly structures, optimised performance for image-heavy content, and ensured the site was fully responsive across devices. The development process was closely tied to the Academy’s goals of higher organic visibility, stronger engagement, and faster conversion. The final result is a modern, conversion-driven website that reflects the scale of Physique Academy’s impact, communicates its no-nonsense brand voice, and makes it effortless for men to take the first step towards transformation.
