Rick Hope

Tell us a bit about yourself and your background.

I’ve always been fascinated by technology and how things work. As a teenager I taught myself web design and started helping with marketing for my dad’s business, which quickly turned into an obsession with building websites, creating brands and generating leads.

That passion eventually led me to launch Statuo in 2015. What started as a small agency working with a handful of clients has grown into a full-service digital agency helping businesses across the UK with branding, websites, software development and marketing.

Alongside Statuo, I’ve also built and scaled businesses in other sectors, which gives me a practical perspective when working with clients. I understand what it’s like to invest your own money into marketing, make difficult decisions and focus on sustainable growth.

No matter how much technology changes, I still enjoy solving problems, building things and helping good businesses grow.

Favourite thing about my job

The people.

I’m fortunate to work alongside a talented team who genuinely care about what they do. We have a collaborative culture where everyone is approachable, ideas are encouraged and we’re all working towards the same goal.

Watching people develop, take ownership and achieve things they didn’t think were possible is one of the most rewarding parts of running a business.

An Interesting Fact

I’ve visited more technology conferences than I can count and will happily travel halfway around the world if there’s an opportunity to learn something new.
